| "His Helping Hands" His Helping Hands is an outreach ministry for those in need in our community. We believe that the heart of JESUS is for us to be HIS hands and feet extended to those around us who may be having difficult times or those less fortunate. JESUS' ministry was a ministry moved with compassion to those who were in need. The Bible tells us, "...for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in.....Matthew 25:37" "Recovery Class" This is a new ministry to CCWC focusing on those who are struggling with addiction in their lives. We understand that addiction is not prejudice to social class, race, or even the very Body of Christ. Neither is addiction limited to only drugs, alcohol or other chemicals, but can infiltrate even our way of thinking. Some are just addicted to being addicted. This class lead by Steve & Denise Barnette, as well as Pastor Love, is geared to help change the way we think based upon Romans 12:2, "...be transformed by the renewing of your mind...". We know that the ABSOLUTE TRUTH of GOD's word will bring true freedom to those who are addicted. For even JESUS Himself said, "Therefore if the Son makes you free, you SHALL BE FREE INDEED!!" ~John 8:36~ "Youth Ministry" In the day that we live in we see this generation getting lost between the cracks. No longer a child, but still not an adult. The Word tell us in 1 Timothy 4:12, "Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity." Our youth ministry lead by Doug & Jackie Stamper are determined not to lose this generation but to lead by example as the word says. This generation is crying out for something more than the revival of yesterday, but they are saying like Isaiah 49:20 (AMP), "...make room for me, that I may live." "Children's Ministry" Here at CCWC we believe in training up our children in the ways of GOD. Our children's ministry lead by Sis. Karen Cross uses creative avenues such as puppets, Bibles games, and of course the Word of God. JESUS said in Matthew 19:14, "Let the little children come to me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven". Today's children are tomorrows leaders and it is our responsibility in the Body of Christ to bring our children to the place JESUS told us....to HIM!! "Praise Team" Our Mission: Lifting up the name of Jesus, giving all honor and Glory to our God and Him alone! We enter into praise and worship with one desire in our hearts, to create an atmosphere pleasing to God. An atmosphere that will draw the Presence and Glory of God that will change lives forever. Praise Team Leader: Rosetta Mercer "Sunday School" We have "Sunday School" for all ages on Sunday's at 10:00 AM here at CCWC. The scripture tells us in John 14:26, "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you." Our Sunday school is designed to teach the Word of the Lord to all ages and whatever level you may be on in your walk with GOD. Teaching is a very necessary part of discipleship and we are designed to leave no one behind. |
