Where are the Patriots?
May I be so bold as to say that once again America is in a Civil War and doesn’t even realize it? A Civil
War is a war from within – a war between two groups within a country.
The first stage of any and all Civil Wars is a conflict of ideas, a war between two opposing mindsets.
America, who’s very Constitution and Declaration of Independence is interwoven with presupposed ideas
of Christianity or at the very least acknowledges the only God of Christianity and even acknowledges our
allegiance to Him on currency, is now standing on the battlefield – if you will – in conflict with an opposing
mindset (Civil War).
Now there is an opposing mindset that says the Ten Commandments are unacceptable, that prayer in
school is unconstitutional, and that “one nation UNDER GOD” is an insult. There is an opposing mindset
that has engaged this war. God and His Son, Jesus Christ are the target. This mindset is working tirelessly
and fighting fearlessly to “kick God out of America”. As you read this article the opposition is planning and
working to disarm, dismantle, and dissolve this great entity we call the church. They are working tirelessly
to snuff out the light, the only light according to our founding Fathers that has the power to govern the
nature, character, and affairs of man. That light is the Word of God and the God of the Word.
Our Constitution is being twisted; this sacred code of government that was penned to protect us and
secure our “certain unaliable rights” is being turned on us to enslave us.
One of the first destructive bomb shells of this civil war was the phrase “Separation of Church and State”.
When in reality; when the first Amendment was passed it had only two purposes. The first purpose was
that there would be no established, national church. In other words, there would be no “Church of the
United States”. James Madison (1751-1836) said the 1st Amendment to the constitution was prompted
because “the people feared one sect might obtain preeminence, or two combine together and establish a
religion to which they would compel others to conform”.
The 1st Amendment was actually saying there is room for Baptist, Methodist, Pentecostal, etc. and the
state can’t form one church and force all to worship in its form.
The second purpose of the 1st amendment was actually the very opposite of what it being used for today.
It states expressly that government should not impede or interfere with the free practice of religion.
I quote Justice Douglas who wrote for the majority of the Supreme Court in the United States verses
Ballard case in 1944:
“The First Amendment has a dual aspect. It not only forestalls compulsion by law of the acceptance of any
creed or the practice of any form of worship”.
Hear me, patriots, we must not swallow the lie of “separation of church and state”, for one cannot study
our rich Godly heritage without seeing that the church is the church is in the vine and the state is the fruit. If
we allow the opposing mindset to cut down the vine then the fruit will surely die.
This lie of separation of church and state is being used today as a political mandate to restrict the
influence of the Christian culture. It was designed to silence the voice – the voice of God himself.
I repeat, we are at war and my question is “Where are the patriots?” – Let us engage the enemy. Let us
come out of the foxholes of our Sunday school rooms and church building and stand for what we believe
in. For the sake of this great nation let us break the silence of the church and speak up. I’m afraid we
spend Sunday after Sunday preparing for a battle that we have no intention of fighting. Continually training
but no engagement.
We must be silent no more, we are the majority. When I say we, I mean Christians, Patriots, and good
moral, honest people.
Jedidiah Morse (1761-1826):
- To the kindly influence of Christianity. We owe the degree of civil freedom, political and social
happiness; which mankind now enjoys….. Whenever the pillars of Christianity shall be overthrown, our
present republican forms of government and all blessings which flow from them must fall with them.
George Washington
- It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and the Bible –
- The name of American, which belongs to you, in your national capacity, must always exalt the just
pride of Patriotism, more than any appellation derived from local discriminations. With slight shades of
difference, you have the same religion” …and later: “…reason and experience both forbid us to expect,
that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle…”
Once again we are the majority and we must begin to speak up. We are in a civil war and WE must engage.
